Alliance Infotech Wins Contract from Railways.
Assam—Mar 28 2003 Alliance Infotech recently won the contract for the Implementation of the Interactive Voice Response System at Railways .
Alliance Infotech New Delhi recently won the contract for the Implementation of the Interactive Voice Response System at Railways . This contract is considered one of the largest such projects in Railways. Most of the major system Integrators and CTI companies participated in this very competitive bid.
The Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) has been designed to provide real-time information to the public regarding availability of reservations and arrival/departure of important trains. Passengers can call into the system learn about the factual position of the running of trains or can know their reservation status just by dialing into the system. With the Multilevel tree structure, user can step through the tree or get direct access to any section if they have been there before. The system requires no human intervention and can caters to 40 calls at a time. The system is connected to the central database through leased line modems. Users can access the IVRS for realtime updated information 24 hours a day and 7 days a week And to add more the multi - lingual option, makes the system much more user – friendly and easy to access.
