 Overview
The National Open School offers education right from the elementary education to courses at the pre-degree level, both academic and vocational. NOS being the largestOpen School in the world with more than 400 thousand students on its roll, found it difficult to cater to the queries of the students in real-time.
Our solution
Using Alliance UniVersus, NOS can now provide round the clock information to the students all over India. Students could gain access to information on admission procedures, fee structures, courses offered etc from remote locations without any human intervention just by dialing into the system.
Built on the a telco grade Computer Telephony platform – “Alliance UniVersus” – the system called “MUKT” can be integrated with any kind of back-end database and can be scaleable to a 300 port system.The system is intelligent to capture alpha-numeric inputs from the callers and retrieve information from the back-end database without delay.
UniVersus is built with standard components using Intel Dialogic building blocks and has inherent speech processingtechniques. Using this open architecture, the system can further be upgraded to a full blown Unified Messaging System.
Having deployed the system at all regional centers, National Open School turns out to be the only educationalgovernment organization in India to have Automated Result Announcement System at all locations.
